*NUsport Membership Fee |
If you are not currently a student at UoN, you are required to pay a NUsport membership fee of $90 for external members or $65 for UoN graduates or staff members. This fee has been included in your NUBC membership and will be paid to NUsport by NUBC. |
Social Member Benefits Plus:
Prospective members may be required to undertake an on-water assessment to evaluate safety and competency. NUBC expects a high level of independence and sufficiency from all members. Applicants who do not satisfy the competency requirements are invited to apply for the NUBC Learn to Row Program.
Please understand that completion of this form does not guarantee acceptance of membership. Membership will not become active until the appropriate fees have been paid and the Exec have accepted your application.
Unfortunately persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to become members of the Club as per NUsport's Clubs Administration Resource Book (CARB).
By completing and submitting an application for membership with Newcastle University Boat Club, the applicant agrees:
Newcastle University Boat Club recommends that you also apply for a membership with Rowing NSW whether that be a social or competitive member. This will ensure you are cover by insurance whilst you are training and racing. See below extract from RNSW website or visit their website for membership fees and more information.
Your membership fees ensure that you are covered by insurance whilst both training and racing and even attending or volunteering at Rowing NSW sanctioned events. The Rowing NSW insurance program has been specifically designed to cater to our rowing community to protect you when something does not quite go to plan. Insurance coverage is only valid after your membership has been renewed.
